Superb
Yeah some grilchy east coast shit. Perb been down with the Wu since the 90's, you heard him all over Supreme Clientele and Bulletproof wallets......he supposedly cowrote and helped Ghost steeze his shit out more....that whiny crying style is what he specialized in.....As some of the best mcs wit the most potential always do, he went and did a prison bid. Now home and back on the streets he has just released a mixtape called "Supreb Clientele" which isn't half bad. I support the raw no matter what so heres a quick taste...Love it or hate it, Perb is Perb...Far Rockaway stand up!

SUMMER CRUISING
Jay-Z and I have alot of things in common. We share a LOVE of Creole Women, We're Both Sagittarius, Love Fried Chicken Wings and we both have a lot of love for a particular dj's mixtapes. Neil Armstrong puts together some of the best mixtapes I've heard since the 90's(The true mixtape-tape era). I have accumulated a collection of most of his 15 tapes and I saw that Complex was giving him some love in an interview today. Just wanted to put some of y'all onto this cat. I am not leaking any of his stuff, but Google is your friend. Do your research, you won't be dissapointed and with Summer coming up, his Sweet and Bittersweet tapes are going to get a lot of run round these parts.........

Entertainment Value WAVE
I fux wit Biggavellll! Let me start off the post by saying I definitely listen to Max B. This cat has been on my radar since 2004. His voice was a lot more gruff and he was a lot more lyrical(less singing) but he still continues to be huge in the streets. I'm guessing it's that gruffness that keeps people listening. I don't mess with everything Max does, but I definitely feel like HipHop needs a character like this just as it needs a fitty cent. Here is Max, who is facing 25 yrs to life for a murder charge he caught in 2006, approaching the court house and it seems that his lawyer has secured his freedom until the trial. current vibrations
Listening to this Dilla tribute from Stevo out of Germany. He's like a Jaylib apprentice and has multiple free instramentals out on line.........Look for his name to get a lil bigger, cuz he's definitely grinding. Taking it from the Dilla and Madlib perspective of just putting out albums of beats till you start to buzz.

fall in love
I also just got Detroit 9000 the movie, so I'm about to sink my teeth into that. I saw some of it before, but fell out before the end so I'm back on it.This is one of those movies that was said to be a heavy influence on Tarantino.
All in all good vibe with me currently.

One of my fave Dilla Jawns
Yeah, as a fan I've been listening to Dilla since the mid 90's.

WORLD FULL OF SADNESS
This is one of my favorite productions from JD. It isn't big budget or intricate, but the vibe really works for me as a whole. I never met JD in person, but always felt when he spoke thru the music. I almost prematurely met him a few years ago after he had passed away. I was on my way to a Dilla tribute concert and was almost murdered. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time walking down a dark block where a couple heads had been hanging out. I was walking up on these 2 cats who appeared to be cool and were talking........I was just over one of their shoulders when the dude facing him pulled out and licked off 5 shots, blam, blam,blam,blam,blam.............I ducked(after the shots went off, naw my Matrix wasn't good that night) I noticed the dude who was the target just stood real still, then just collapsed, dead. I got up and rubbed on my chest cuz I couldn't believe that I hadn't been hit. There were sparks in my face and everything. Shit had my on some stay in the house shit for a while after that..........Nonetheless.TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT.
I still went to the dilla tribute and had people buying me drinks and trying to get me out of shock. This song right here makes me zone out to that evening and soak in everything that could have happened. The song is sadness, but it keeps me peaceful and introspective more than anything.

One of my favorite songs
And I don't know the artist. I was digging thru my tape collection because I've been looking for old gems. Anyone who knows me knows I keep my collection game on point. From records to magazines to comic books to cd's to sneakers to old clothes to colognes etc. Anyway my tape collection spans a few duffle bags full. I used to tape HipHop radio for years. At least since 1989. Anyways I found this tape from 1997 with a lot of Canibus(A MONSTER AT THE TIME)some Pun,some Gravedigga's(that second album had joints and was slept on heavy)some CNN,some Prodigy joints dissing Keith Murray, some of Big Noyd's first Ep which was aiight too.But there was this one joint that I Loved. Definition of HipHop in a song if I ever heard one. Ill minamalist beat and 2 mc's just spazzing, going in elevating themselves with every bar. This is the HipHop I remember hearing on the streets of the east coast growing up. It was about wordplay 100%. No flashy shit, just basically how ill you could put words together.
So I found the joints and I just had to transfer it from the tape to digi audio so pardon the shitty quality, but if anyone heard this joint and knows who it is. GET AT me immediately.
Peace

ONE of my favorite producers
This cat Madlib keeps me inspired to death. He's an organic artist in the truest sense of the word. He does what he feels. There is never any big label expectations from a label breathing down his neck. He don't have to follow the typical industry conventions of A. sucking dilznick to get a hit or B. following, biting or copying trends. This cat has dozens of albums from the brilliant Yesterdays New Quintet Jazz series to collaborative classics with MF Doom(Mad Villain) and the God J Dilla(Jay Lib) R.I.P. He also don't care if you know he's behind the project or not because he may title it something crazy and assume a name just for that project. Either way, I had give him his props with this post just for the continued inspiration I get from all the projects.
Peep the new dedications he just did to Dilla as well disguised as the Beat Konducta.

here's a big gem right here........His MotownxMadlib podcast( I listen to this shit while I'm grilling it up in the summertime)
and here's a dude named Bullion who you can tell where his inspiration also comes from. And if you can't obviously it's Madlib and Dilla.

CuRRENT LISTENING-Killa Sin
from the tail end of the WU era..............................................met this cat in Atlanta once. This kid was a problem................This jawn right here is the answer to when people say, "yo you listen to such and such or you feel such and such" and I say NO!!!!!!
HipHop is supposed to give you a feeling. It's like being with a chick and you don't pop off. At the end are you just happy to be going thru the motions or are you aggy that you didn't get to get that feeling and FINISH?
HipHop these days has a severe case of blueballs.
Now enjoy disssss
